Harees is one of the traditional dishes that is very famous, especially in the Gulf cuisine. Harees, harissa, Sayed al-Maeda, al-Tulu, wheat or wheat are made from boiled, crushed or ground wheat mixed with meat. Perhaps this is the reason for its frequent preparation during the month of Ramadan and its consumption during the pre-dawn meal. Harees is prepared in the Arab Gulf countries and some other Arab countries, and the way it is prepared differs from one country to another
ingredients for making harees with meat:
1 kilo of Boneless beef
½ kilo of wheat grain harees
½ cup of rice
salt
water
How to make and prepare harees with meat:
First, we soak the harees grains with rice overnight
Then we put the meat in a pressure cooker
And let it boil
Then we remove the foam
After grilling the meat
We put wheat grain harees on it
And we put twice the amount of wheat grain harees in water
And let it boil twice
Then we close the pressure cooker for 50 minutes
And then we open it and make sure of the water and the level of grain and meat
And we put salt on it
And we close it for an hour on a quiet fire
If water is at this level, it means it is over
Then we mash the meat with the puree and beat it with the electric mixer until they are homogeneous with each other, or with the wooden mixer..
